Lovely piece that my sister-in-law adored as a gift for her new baby. The cinnabar has this mesmerizing deep-red color that photographs poorly but looks incredible in person — almost like there's light coming from within the stone. The pearls add a perfect delicate touch. The lock design is charming and the symbolism of 'locking in' health and longevity really resonated with her. I gave 4 stars only because I think the product page could include more information about proper care — particularly regarding water exposure for the pearls since I know pearls can be sensitive. But the locket itself is exquisitely crafted and carries profound meaning. My sister-in-law says she'll treasure it forever, which is the best review of all.

Genuinely beautiful cinnabar locket with lovely pearls. The cinnabar quality is clearly high-grade — rich color, excellent polish, and you can see the natural grain which confirms it's carved from solid stone. The pearls are well-matched in size and have nice luster. The lock shape is adorable and carries such sweet symbolism for protecting loved ones. I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 only because I wish the chain or cord options were included — the locket itself is perfect but I had to source my own chain to wear it as a necklace. A small addition that would make this a complete ready-to-wear piece. That aside, this is a gorgeous, meaningful item that makes an extraordinary gift. Would definitely purchase again.
